Did you know that Mending is a key part of sustainable living and the Kampung Culture? Let's start by first learning how to mend, repair and sew our own clothes with the amazing Agatha Lee of 'Green Issues by Agy'.
NOTE: Bring along a pair of socks and you will learn how to repair and make your clothes last longer. This session covers an introduction to repairing clothes and how it reduces waste.
In this edition of Beginner Sewing and Mending, you also learn:
- Basic sewing stitches
- Repair techniques such as darning
- Repairing holes
- Sewing on buttons
No tools? No worries. We will provide you with basic sewing equipment, haberdashery (eg. threads, needles) and simple refreshments. Let's start repairing, give our things a second life and make our lives a little bit Greener!
